The Vanquish Products VRD Carbon Kit is our first competition platform, developed by some of the most experienced designers in the RC rock crawling industry. Featuring a brand-new lightweight spec VFD transmission and updated F10 competition portal axles, the VRD Carbon Kit is an extremely competitive, reliable, and versatile platform. At the heart of the VRD Carbon Kit are two matte, 3mm thick carbon fiber plates bonded to the 6-degree flat skid plate. The injection-molded chassis components and skid plate position the lightweight VFD transmission as low as possible within the VRD chassis. The F10 front axle features a 4-link design for the first time. Both the front and rear axles are fitted with brass inserts, in addition to the aluminum front kingpin weights, to keep the center of gravity as low as possible and improve off-road capability.

chassis
The VRD carbon chassis from Vanquish Products features completely redesigned chassis components, providing a tunable platform for adapting to the most demanding terrain. Multiple shock and body mounting positions, combined with minimalist, interchangeable front and rear bumpers, make body mounting and customization a breeze. Stamped aluminum rock sliders offer a flat mounting surface for electronics and/or battery, while also supporting and protecting your bodywork.
Powertrain
The centerpiece of the VRD Carbon Kit is the new lightweight VFD transmission in its spec configuration. It features a machined aluminum motor plate, aluminum motor plate spacers, and omits the cosmetic VFD tunnel for a performance-oriented look. Internally, the VFD transmission is equipped with machined aluminum bearing plates and machined, lightweight chromoly gears. Every internal gear has been redesigned to be as light as possible, reducing the overall weight of the transmission without compromising its high durability. The transfer case (T-case) has an integrated 21% overdrive ratio.
The front F10 portal axle is equipped with overdrive portal gearboxes, while the rear F10 portal axle has standard portal gearboxes. Together with the VFD gearbox's overdrive, this results in a final gear ratio (overdrive) of 37%. Both axles are additionally equipped with brass weights inside the axle tubes; the front axle also features aluminum portal support covers. This is the heaviest spec version of the F10 axles to date, designed to keep the center of gravity as low as possible and optimize the forward weight distribution.
suspension
The VRD Carbon Kit comes equipped with Incision S8E shocks, featuring hard-anodized bodies and adjustable ball joints of varying lengths, allowing for end-length adjustments from 85 to 95 mm. Robust stainless steel lower control arms and lightweight upper control arms connect the chassis to the axles via the new Incision Pro M4 ball joints. The rear lower control arms are curved to maximize ground clearance over obstacles. Multiple shock mounting points and adjustable shock lengths allow for a wide range of ride height and ground clearance tuning.
