1 set = 2 pistons of the same type + 2 low-profile security nuts

These pistons should be used in the FRONT SUSPENSION, with the valve UNDER the pistons.

TRC has developed new valve pistons to meet the demanding conditions of today's tracks.

Today we face artificial turf tracks with high grip, multi-surface tracks, smooth and glued tracks, and even loose and bumpy tracks. The key lies in achieving the right balance between compression cushioning and rebound cushioning in the shock absorbers.

What are compression damping and rebound damping?

? Compression damping is the hydraulic resistance created by the shock absorber during the descent of the car (the car lowers and the wheels move up).

? Rebound damping performs the same function, but in the opposite direction (the car goes up and the wheels lower towards the ground).

The main feature of the valve piston is that the compression damping and rebound damping can be adjusted separately.

Thus, with the valve piston, the compression can be harder than the rebound, or vice versa.

Let's see the two main differences between the valve positions:

? Less compression cushioning than rebound cushioning.

? Slower rebound => greater stability in high grip conditions.

? The valve below the piston at the front of the car absorbs energy on steep slopes. The car bounces less when taking off and stays flatter.

The landing is more stable and, especially when changing direction quickly, the car is more precise.

The slower rebound reduces the lifting effect in direction changes.

? The valve under the piston in the rear shock absorbers of the car significantly softens the rear end.

High adherence situations and uneven terrain.

? Greater compression cushioning than rebound cushioning.

? Bounce faster => This creates greater grip on irregular and slippery surfaces, as the wheel bounces back to the ground faster.

? Specifically on the front part:

The weight shifts more rapidly from side to side: greater mechanical grip on the wheels and better maneuverability in low-grip conditions. Specifically at the rear:

The car will be kept higher in the suspension travel, allowing for a softer setting of the shock absorber (and spring) to maximize its efficiency and grip.
