ULTIMATE ENGINE DAKOTAH PHEND EDITION CERAMIC + EFRA 2142 EXHAUST + AIRMAX FILTER

The well-known professional RC racer Dakotah Phend needs no introduction. Since 2004, he has raced for several engine brands, but since 2022 he signed for Ultimate Racing and Nitrolux fuel. In his words: "Without a doubt, the high quality of their products has been decisive in helping me to achieve the last titles, of which I would highlight the 3 x ROAR, 3 x SIC, 2 x PNV, 2 x AMS, among others..."

After all these years of experience, Dakotah wanted to go one step further, and proposed to Modelix to develop a new engine Ultimate.

This engine is the culmination of the tests carried out between Ultimate Racing and Dakotah to achieve the best balance between performance and fuel consumption to date.

In Dakota's own words "I am so convinced of the performance of this engine that I asked them to make a limited edition of only 150 engines and put my name on it".

To make it even more attractive we offer it as a combo with the exhaust Ultimate 2142 and the highly demanded complete filter Ultimate AIRMAX.

ENGINE

This engine is manufactured by the prestigious Japanese brand O.S. Engines, in this case based on their Speed B21 square stroke engine.

Apart from the modifications that the MXS already had, such as the crankshaft and the rear crankcase cover, in the DP we have worked on the engine group, modifying the transfers to be able to vary the intake and exhaust timing.

The cylinder head has also been modified and includes the innovative FlowMax venturi, in this case orange anodised with 6 and 6mm diameter 6.5mm.

Finally, the crankcase of this engine has been modified to improve performance, more specifically, to achieve more power without compromising fuel consumption.

With this engine you will have an incredible power curve that provides spectacular usable power at all times. It delivers smooth, linear power at low RPMs, which makes it work perfectly on bumpy tracks, and at the same time it delivers great power at medium and high RPMs, and with great feel. It is one of the best idling engines on the market.

CULATA

The DP engine is equipped with the same cylinder head as its predecessors (MXS, MTS). This 8-fin cylinder head has a very low centre of gravity and has been designed in such a way that it focuses most of the incoming airflow directly to the spark plug. By cooling the spark plug we achieve a more stable carburation and idle speed.

CARBURATOR

Once again, for the DP engine it has been decided to fit the flagship O.S. carburettor, the model 21 J3. In contrast to the original OS carburettor, the top needle holder has been redesigned with fins similar to those on the cylinder head. This design allows the fuel inlet to the carburettor to be significantly cooled. Thanks to this innovative design, the carburettor temperature is cooler and more constant, resulting in a more stable idle speed, increased engine power and reduced fuel consumption.

The carburettor includes the orange anodised Bellows Ring. This ring has been designed to guarantee the best sealing of the carburettor in the bellows area to avoid any unwanted air ingress at the junction of the bellows and the barrel.

Another important point that has been modified is the carburettor barrel puller, which now has two studs instead of one. The new design of this part allows the angle of this part to be adjusted in any position without disassembling the engine.

This carburettor allows for a more fine tuning of the carburettor, a very interesting detail for more experienced riders.

REAR COVER

As on the MXS, the rear cover of the DP is CNC machined from Swiss 7075-T6 aluminium bar stock and has been redesigned with two larger teardrops to facilitate the flow of fuel to the piston, greatly increasing the power output of the engine.

Thanks to its design, it is possible to remove the rear cover without damaging the piston even when the piston is at its lowest point (PMI). The side slots also make it easy to remove the cover without the use of tools.

CRANKSHAFT

The crankshaft features DLC treatment and 2 tungsten weights to increase rotational inertia for improved mid-rev feel.

BEARINGS

It is equipped with the original O.S. ceramic rear bearing and the front bearing with steel balls and double cover from Ultimate racing.

VENTURI

The engine features two new 6.0 and 6.5mm FlowMax venturis. With an innovative design that is longer than the standard O.S. venturis and wider at the base, unlike all the others, it makes the bottom of the venturi and the carburettor exactly the same diameter. This new geometry improves fluid dynamics, providing extra power that allows the use of smaller venturis without diminishing power and, as a consequence, improves engine range.

CYLINDER LINER AND PISTON

Starting from the great base of the MXS, work has been done on the engine equipment and a new group has been designed in which the transfers have been modified to be able to vary the intake and exhaust timings to achieve more power without compromising the consumption.

The cylinder liner has 3 intake and 1 exhaust transfers to ensure minimum fuel consumption as well as smooth and linear power.

Both the cylinder liner and piston are manufactured from high quality aluminium rod to ensure maximum durability of our engine equipment.

CRANKCASE

This engine includes a new crankcase which has been worked on to improve the internal fuel flow to improve performance and give extra power. It is laser engraved with the DP logo and the limited edition number.
