The compact SkyRC ITP380 infrared thermometer is used for safe and contactless measurement of the temperature of special surfaces such as motors, chargers, or complete vehicles. Compared to its predecessor, SkyRC is based on a classic TO-46 thermopile sensor. The sensor element, formed by 116 small thermocouple elements with an active area of 545 µm in diameter on a silicon chip, absorbs energy and generates the output signal. However, depending on the surface, the measured value may vary despite the same temperature. Therefore, the thermometer can be adjusted to these different surfaces to display a more accurate result.
Surface Emissivity Coefficient
Anodized Aluminum 0.77
Plastic 0.91
Hard, shiny rubber sheets 0.94
Carbon-containing surfaces 0.98
Features:
Wide measuring range -40 °C (-40 °F) to 380 °C (716 °F)
Fast and high-precision infrared sensor
Four measurement methods: Fast Mode / Scanning Mode / Maximum Value / Minimum Value
Measurement unit in Celsius or Fahrenheit
The emissivity coefficient can be adjusted
The large LCD screen can display temperature, emissivity coefficient, and battery capacity.
Backlit for easy reading of values
The measuring device has low power consumption.
Automatic shut-off after 1 minute to increase battery life
Application:
There are 4 measurement methods. First, point the sensor at the top of the meter directly at the object to be measured and perform one of the following actions:
Fast Mode: Press the "MEASURE" button once to measure the current temperature and display it on the screen.
Scanning Mode: Bring the aluminum cover as close as possible to the object. Hold down the "MEASURE" button to continuously measure the temperature. The screen will continue updating the temperature. After releasing the "MEASURE" button, the last measured temperature is displayed.
Maximum Temperature Mode: Point the aluminum cover at the object to be measured, press the "Mode" button once and hold down the "MEASURE" button. The thermometer will display the highest or maximum temperature measured.
Minimum Temperature Mode: Point the aluminum cover at the object to be measured, press the "Mode" button twice and hold down the "MEASURE" button. The thermometer will display the coldest or minimum temperature measured.
