Uni-Platform?.
The XB2 platform performs at the highest competitive level on any type of track: from dirt circuits with very low traction, through medium traction conditions, to carpet or artificial grass surfaces with very high traction. There is a perfect XB2 model for you, capable of delivering impeccable performance in any of these situations.
There are two different XB2 kits to choose from: the "Carpet Edition" (for carpet) and the "Dirt Edition" (for dirt). Both are based on the same platform and have full compatibility, allowing for parts interchange.
The "Carpet Edition" is designed for medium to very high traction conditions, while the "Dirt Edition" is intended for very low to medium traction conditions.
Thanks to Uni-Platform? technology, it is possible to adjust or convert any version of the XB2 to suit the specific track conditions, using only a few additional components.
Flat Chassis Brace.
This new aluminum lower brace represents an innovative concept from XRAY in the *off-road* category, designed to adjust chassis flex based on track traction levels.
The brace mounts directly onto the chassis and connects with the rear gearbox and front-rear suspension support (RF).
Side Braces.
The redesigned and longer side braces fit the new chassis design. Their larger size allows for better longitudinal flex control, resulting in greater consistency on the track.
The left side brace also allows for a fan to be mounted directly on it to improve motor cooling.
Universal Gearbox Concept.
XRAY introduces a platform design with a universal gearbox, allowing the use of both the updated 3-gear (3G) version and the new 5-gear (5G) option, without changing the chassis plate, in both the "Carpet" and "Dirt" versions of the XB2.
3G Gearbox.
The updated 3G gearbox integrates with the flat lower chassis brace. The weight distribution of this 3G transmission achieves an optimal balance between steering and stability, ideal for a wide variety of surfaces, whether dirt, clay, artificial grass, or carpet. The 3G gearbox is included in both the XB2C and XB2D; its universal design allows for quick and easy changes between the 3G and 5G configurations, without needing to modify the chassis.
Slipper Clutch.
The carpet (Carpet) and dirt (Dirt) versions include two-pad slipper clutch sets, which share the same upper shaft, friction pads, and spring adjustment nut.
The XB2C uses ventilated clutch plates to provide additional cooling that dissipates excess heat generated when running on carpet.
The XB2D incorporates solid clutch plates with a larger contact area, allowing for smoother slipping and helping to generate greater traction.
Motor Mount.
The redesigned and unified motor mount for the 3G gearbox takes advantage of the additional space available in the chassis and positions the motor lower, achieving a lower center of gravity.
Suspension Supports.
The new design of the rear-front suspension support (RF, position C) integrates with the flat chassis brace, creating a solid assembly that provides greater stability.
Rear Roll Center Holder.
Each kit includes a new aluminum support for the rear roll center. Its machined area, designed to center the stabilizer collar, eliminates any play and improves precision.
