Features

The two-speed transmission option (requires some assembly) allows increasing the vehicle's speed by approximately 40%.

Drivers can choose between DIG transmission and 2-speed options, or use both with a 4-channel transmitter and two servos (not included).

The AR45 portal axles feature an offset front housing for a realistic appearance.

The axle housings also use portal gears to increase ground clearance and a universal joint that provides a 45-degree turning angle.

The differential lock incorporates hypoid gears, allowing the use of smaller gears, improving gear reduction, and reducing torque.

The authentic Jeep® JT Gladiator body includes over 20 injection-molded parts, including the roof rack, door handles, mirrors, hood vents, and much more.

The three-piece body provides a deeper, more realistic bed.

The new centered battery position improves chassis balance with the motor mounted at the front.

The chassis side mounts offer mounting points for smaller LiPo batteries, if desired.

The oil-filled, hard-anodized shocks incorporate a screw-on bleed cap for easy maintenance.

All components of the drivetrain system, including the portals and axle gears, are metal for extreme durability; with the included pinion, the vehicle has a total of 23 metal gears.

Enhanced materials increase durability and rigidity while maintaining tighter tolerances to eliminate most of the play.

Stainless steel ball joints at all suspension points increase durability and lifespan for smooth handling.

The improved suspension geometry further reduces torque while allowing precise chassis adjustment.

The increased wheelbase of 35.3 cm (13.9 inches), along with longer frame rails and chassis supports, offers a more realistic version of the Jeep® JT Gladiator body.

The detailed interior, with a molded driver figure, contributes to the vehicle's realistic scale appearance.

The new rear body mounts simplify disassembly.

The injection-molded inner fenders hide internal components that are normally visible from the side of the chassis.

Overview

The Jeep® JT Gladiator 4WD RTR Axial® SCX10? III in 1/10 scale marks the next step in ready-to-run scale off-road action. While it continues to incorporate key components that have made SCX10? vehicles successful, the SCX10? III chassis increases realism with details that include a replica V8 engine to house the front-mounted brushed 540 motor, coupled with a realistic transmission case and transfer case like in a 1:1 vehicle. The Spektrum? DX3? 3-channel, 2.4 GHz DSMR® transmitter and the 40A Firma? ESC/receiver are also ready to provide you with the advantages of innovative Spektrum? Smart technology.

Out of the box, the SCX10? III Jeep® JT Gladiator transmission offers a third-channel DIG function that allows locking the rear axle from the transmitter for front traction and a tighter turning radius. Although it comes disabled from the factory, the vehicle can be configured to have a second gear that is 40% faster instead of the DIG function; or by adding another micro servo and using a transmitter with at least four channels (like the Spektrum DX5 with 5 channels), you can access both DIG and two-speed functions simultaneously.

The SCX10? III Jeep® JT Gladiator uses new AR45? portal axles to enhance performance by increasing ground clearance and reducing torque. The motor is located at the front of the chassis to distribute weight forward. The standard battery tray is positioned near the center of the vehicle for better balance and accommodates standard-sized LiPo or NiMH batteries. There are also compartments on the sides for drivers who prefer smaller LiPo batteries. The inner fenders and floor sides hide internal components that would normally be visible from the side of the chassis.

The chassis is completed with a scale Jeep® JT Gladiator body that faithfully reproduces its full-size counterpart with numerous authentic details. The body features over 20 injection-molded parts, including a roof rack, door handles, mirrors, hood vents, and more, taking the realism of the polycarbonate body to the next level. The body has been split into three pieces to achieve a deeper, more realistic cargo bed. The officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tires, mounted on three-piece beadlock wheels, add greater realism and better grip on dirt, rocks, and any other off-road terrain.
