The Sprinter tire is designed to complement the front and rear pin-type tires from JConcepts. The front Sprinter tire for 2WD vehicles features square and angled pins, arranged vertically to flex and fold evenly along the tire. Generally, a tread with stacked pins wears less and provides greater grip, while the aligned spacing facilitates rotation in corners and allows for quick release to straighten the vehicle with agility. In developing this new tread, the team focused on durability and performance to offer the market a competitive front option on loose surfaces, whether wet or dusty.
Given the popularity of dirt oval racing and the design of vehicles with mid-motor or laydown configurations, the need for a new generation of tires with a specific pin design, casing, and outer tread arose. The outer sidewall incorporates angled pins to facilitate corner entry and provide the necessary rotation, not only in conventional off-road but specifically in dirt oval racing. The transition between the tread and the tire body features a generous radius that enhances the elastic response of the pin and resists tearing or separation.
Horizontal traction bars connect several pins near the center of the tire, reinforcing a critical area for achieving greater thrust at high speeds. The sidewall area smoothly integrates with a step-spike tread design that softens the transition in uneven sections and generates lateral grip. The Sprinter tires utilize the conventional and popular 2.2-inch bead and casing design, making them interchangeable. They offer a comfortable ride and include Dirt-Tech closed cell foam inserts in each set.
