UPDATED TILT BARS

The tilt bar positioning of the Promoto-SM has been updated to allow for a greater angle than its counterpart for motocross bikes. The new rubber tires on the tilt bar, mounted on bearings, reduce noise and provide better traction on hard surfaces. Adjustable stops for both the upward and downward travel are included, so you can customize the bike for any surface or grip level. Tilt bars also often assist in recovery in case of a fall when the rear tire has traction. If the bike goes down on the track, simply throttle up to get it upright and back in action.

SPEKTRUM MS6X TECHNOLOGY PATENT PENDING

The Spektrum DX3PM transmitter and the included SR6300PM receiver combine with the patented MS6X technology to provide unprecedented control. Promoto-SM drivers can maintain balance at high or low speeds while maneuvering over concrete, asphalt, blacktop, and other hard surfaces. For more aggressive driving and extreme turning angles, use the MS6X remote to increase the tilt angle.

"DRIVING MODES" "ON THE GO"

The DX3PM features three pre-programmed driving modes that you can switch between "on the fly" using your thumb on the A/B toggle switch.

• Dirt Mode - Allows the Promoto-SM to lift sufficiently without cutting the throttle to jump over obstacles, while intuitively cutting the throttle output if the bike begins to rise too much, helping to prevent "wheelie-overs."
• Street Mode - Detects when the Promoto-SM starts to bob and quickly cuts the throttle, allowing the front tire to return to the ground for maximum acceleration.
• Wheelie Control - Let them run! Wheelie Control allows you to maintain wheelies on smooth surfaces up to maximum speed.

SMART TECHNOLOGY

How much battery does your bike have left? You don't have to guess. The LED indicators on the DX3PM transmitter show you at a glance the remaining capacity of your Spektrum Smart batteries. Thanks to Spektrum Smart technology, the Promoto-SM stores and shares critical performance data while you ride. Smart technology also simplifies battery charging. When you connect a Smart battery to a Spektrum Smart charger, the battery's unique charging requirements are automatically transferred from its memory microchip through the IC connector data cable to the Smart charger. Safe charging starts automatically! (You can receive additional real-time telemetry information, such as speed, RPM, amperage consumption, ESC temperature, and much more, by upgrading to the Spektrum DX5C or DX5 Pro transmitter.)

UPDATED BRAKE PADS AND PISTON

Although the original front brake system of the Promoto-MX worked well, the design team believed improvements could be made. A completely new caliper and floating piston were designed to apply a larger pressure area to the brake pad. Additionally, a new metal injection molded (MIM) piston shaft has been installed in the bearings for smoother operation and better sealing against dust and debris. All of this contributes to shorter stopping distances and more consistent braking performance.

STEERING UNIT

The gyroscopic stabilization force created by its heavy steel flywheel?spinning at over 22,000 RPM with the 2700Kv motor?does wonders for the motorcycle's stability. Mounted as low and forward as possible on the frame, the flywheel unit allows the Promoto-SM to pivot around its central point, enhancing jumps, direction changes, and the precision of the bike's performance.

HEAD CUSHIONING

With eight pounds rapidly propelling down the track, a fairly stiff servo spring setup is needed to properly guide the Promoto-SM through the next turn. Like anything that is heavily damped, the best way to control strong springs is to dampen the movement. A key development for the Promoto platform is a fluid-filled friction chamber between the upper and lower bearings of the steering tube. The chamber is filled with 500.000cSt heavy weights that effectively dampen the servo elevator and help control any potential "head shake"

SERVO SAVER

The rigid circular springs of the servo protector, captured by composite material plates mounted on bearings, provide consistency in steering with enough give to protect the servo. But that's not all. It also drastically improves the bike's performance when coming down from wheelies, landing jumps, powering through a corner, and pushing the front tire over a curb. It gives way to keep the bike upright.

NARROW CHASSIS

To achieve the right scale appearance, the electronics and battery of the bike needed to fit into a compact and narrow chassis. Requiring a special "shorty" battery would have simplified the design task, but the Promoto-SM product development team wanted to use a more convenient, standard-sized battery. Mission accomplished! A full-size hardcase 2S LiPo fits in the rider's seat, easily accessible for quick battery changes. Place a charged pack, and you'll be back in seconds to lead the competition.

REALISTIC FIGURE OF THE PILOT

The figures of other RC bike riders are made entirely of foam, which deteriorates quickly. Promoto riders feature a plastic exterior coated with rubber that can yield and flex upon impact and tumbles. To prevent the rider from swaying on the bike, the torso has a foam insert. It keeps the body stable during normal operation but is still able to give way in case of impact. With its upgraded gear, the Promoto-SM rider looks ready for the aggressive action of road racing!

PRO-LINE RACING OE TIRES (ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT) SUPERMOTO STREET

The Promoto-SM is equipped with the new Pro-Line Racing OE (Original Equipment) Supermoto street tires. In addition to enhancing the scale appearance of the bike, the Supermoto tires are specifically designed for the unique wear and traction requirements of supermoto-style street racing.

SCREEN/STARTUP MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORTS

Working on a real motorcycle is easier with the right stand. That's why the Promoto-SM also had to come with one. The included stand for maintenance and display follows the design of a real motorcycle stand, complete with graphics. To keep the bike balanced on the stand, the Promoto-SM fits right into it. But going a step further, a hands-free starting stand is also included. This starting stand cradles the rear tire and keeps the motorcycle upright and ready for a door-style start.

TRUE SPOKE WHEELS

Before that Losi the Promoto platform; no other manufacturer had been able to create spoke wheels with the right appearance and the durability needed for an RC motorcycle. It took the determination and expertise of the product development team from Losi To achieve this, the Promoto-SM features true-to-life spoke wheels that are smaller, in line with the design of actual road motorcycles.

GRAPHIC PLASTICS

Big or small, no street bike would look good without the right set of body panels wrapped in vinyl graphics. The Promoto-SM has everything you need: fenders, license plate holder, fork protectors, front and rear side panels, all with a fresh look wrapped in updated and highly durable vinyl graphics.

REALISTIC DETAILS

Even the small details matter, and Losi nothing has been overlooked - escape, brake line, footpegs, brake rotors, whatever it may be. The Promoto-SM also includes hand guards, which mimic those used on full-size supermoto bikes to protect the brake and clutch levers during a fall.

REAR MUDGUARD

Wheelies happen. A standard rigid-mounted rear fender would really take a beating. But the Promoto-SM has the solution: an articulated rear fender with elastomer springs that can flex during wheelies to reveal a durable nylon rear bumper. This significantly enhances the durability of the rear fender.

FRONT IMPACT STRUCTURE

The front shock structure of the Promoto-SM is rigid during normal riding, but it compresses until the front tire hits the chassis frame to absorb frontal impacts. This protects the front fork tubes from bending, keeping them safe and secure.

CARTER COVERS AND VENTILATION GRILLES

The molded composite skid plates cover the front and bottom of the Promoto-SM chassis. They provide protection during impacts and keep debris out of the chassis, helping to safeguard the electronic components mounted inside. The ventilation grilles on each side of the bike come closed in the box but can be opened to provide cooling airflow when the ambient temperature is high.

DOUBLE ALUMINUM PLATE CHASSIS

The twin aluminum plates of the chassis house and protect all the motorcycle's electronic components while contributing to the Promoto-SM's narrow and realistic appearance. They also provide the chassis with the necessary rigidity and durability in case of strong impacts.

FRONT FORK

The front fork of the Promoto-SM is another innovation from Losi with internal spring and shock absorber. Designed to operate similarly to standard RC shocks, the front fork tubes can be rebuilt and adjusted by changing the silicone shock fluid. Using counter-rotating upper and lower springs, spacers can also be used to adjust the ride height of the Promoto-SM. And perhaps most importantly, they look amazing, just like the real ones.

REAR SUSPENSION WITH RISING RATE TRAVEL

Just like a real motorcycle, the Promoto-SM features an ascending rear suspension. The suspension starts off soft around the riding height for smooth handling and superior grip. It becomes firmer as it moves into the upward travel, providing the right preload for jumps and preventing bottoming out on landings. Equipped with an oil-filled coil shock, the Promoto-SM is ready to dominate any road surface.

BRUSHLESS POWER SYSTEM

The Promoto-SM rolls out of the HOT doors with a powerful Spektrum Smart brushless power system. Its 4-pole 3652 3800Kv motor delivers the power while the 85A brushless ESC provides all the control you need. With top speeds of over 40 mph using a 2S LiPo battery, the Promoto-SM power system is a game-changer!

HEAD ANGLE

After months of testing different trail configurations, head angles, and steering ratios, the Promoto-SM product development team has found the sweet spot. A head tube angle of 62.4 degrees provides the best balance of handling over bumps, landing jumps, steering input, and control of "head shake" across all surfaces.

SLIPPER CLUTCH INSPIRED BY RACING

While its Spektrum Firma 3800Kv brushless motor delivers ample power, the race-inspired dual-disc slipper clutch of the Promoto-SM helps the rear tire maintain traction on a wide variety of surfaces. The dual-disc slipper clutch with a pressurized spring is inspired by those used by the TLR team to win races worldwide. It enhances traction and protects the drivetrain without sacrificing explosiveness.

FRONT CABLE-OPERATED DISC BRAKE

Riding a bike is much more fun when you have good brakes. The engine can manage the rear braking through the transmission, but just like 1:1 motorcycles, most of the braking happens with the front tire. To brake the Promoto-SM from the front, the front brake uses a steel rotor, brake pads activated by a caliper, and a servo-assisted cable. It cuts the braking distance in half.

REALISTIC CHAIN TRANSMISSION

We couldn't call the Promoto-SM a true street racing bike if it weren't chain-driven. Steel links and 70 roller pins wrap around a 10-tooth steel drive sprocket and a 36-tooth aluminum hub sprocket. Regardless of the conditions, the chain drive will efficiently and reliably power the rear tire.
