The evolution of the Outback Trail chassis reaches new heights with the new Hi-Rock edition from FTX. As crawler enthusiasts continue to crave both scale performance and scale appearance, we have strived to address both with Hi-Rock.

Featuring a new split transmission, the motor is now mounted directly over the front axle alongside the steering servo, providing additional weight to the front for better traction when climbing inclines. The steering angle has been increased to a 45° angle to further enhance trail maneuverability. An adjustable slipper clutch can be set up to protect the transmission and drive shafts in case of binding, while the internal metal gears in the axle and gearbox provide long-term durability.

The split transmission design provides a much lower center section allowing aftermarket interiors to be mounted to increase scale realism. Molded side chassis plates have aluminum plates on the outside, while internal plates provide protection against the elements, as well as housing for the Hobbywing receiver and speed control. The molded receiver box features additional connection ports for aftermarket LED lights and winches.

The classic pickup-inspired body comes complete with molded accessories such as front grille and LED light buckets, snorkel, mirrors, windshield wipers, roll cage, and spotlights (for optional LEDs). The front and rear bumpers feature mounted LED lights and tow hooks to complete that scale appearance.
